.: Joker Poker Video Poker Review
Joker poker is played with a 53 card deck where the extra card is a joker thrown in as a wild card.
You still have the same 52 cards from the standard deck of cards and the video poker is played
the same way as standard video poker. In fact, the strategy changes very little with a single
wildcard in the deck.
Joker poker can be played with 1 to 5 coins. If you decide to play this game, there is
less house advantage playing 1 versus max coins than the average video poker game. In
fact, since this game needs you to hit a royal flush more than other games to break even,
it might be a better strategy to play more hands at a smaller denomination. It is also
easier to stomach "going for it" when the odds are against you.
Note that this game usually pays for Kings or Better. Honestly, the paytable
on this game highly rewards big hands. Royal flushes and 5 of a kind, pay
better than other games. However, the payout for the lower hands really stink - unless you
are planing to play thousands of hands to average out your play - or plan on hitting a royal
quickly, avoid this game.
